The car should be able to connect and collect various data regarding the environment, temperature, surface conditions, weather, Maps and location, adjacent vehicles and buildings. With effect of this collective data only, the cars are able to apply automatic braking and reprieve from the hazardous external conditions automatically. This collective data collection and implementation using the software codes is the complex process involved, as it has to be created in a way to satisfy both the simple and harder real time traffic environments.

Software algorithms are the final step where the collected data are processed through the algorithms which could command the acceleration, braking, gear and all the systems in the car. Google has already launched its autonomous vehicle by using the light medium to detect the surrounding vehicles and environment and Tesla is using a distinctive feature of virtual eye, “Car’s eye” in which a highly advanced camera is using to record the data around the car.
