Egypt is one of the most sought-after travel destinations for lovers of history, art and ancient Egyptian culture. Who has never dreamed, at least once in their life, of living a  Nile cruise  or admiring the beautiful pyramids perhaps riding a camel? Often travelers who intend to organize a journey to discover this beautiful land find themselves not really knowing where to start how to best organize the trip and how to make the travel experience become unique, authentic and profitable. With this guide we want to give you some tips on how to organize the perfect trip to Egypt. Let's start right away.

A tip before you start!

Many travelers who intend to go to Egypt thinking of doing so to devote themselves exclusively to the tourist and maritime side usually offered by the most common holiday packages and which, however, give little opportunity to explore the true heart of Egypt with its beauties and its history. Maybe you could opt for a solution that includes a stay in a village, especially if you intend to take a relaxing holiday, but organize at least a part of the journey that is oriented towards the inner part of the country on the banks of the Nile between desert, pyramids and a visit to the picturesque Egyptian cities.

No matter how much time you have for your trip. There are at least 3 stages that we consider mandatory for your itinerary to discover Egypt. Here's what they are!

1. A cruise on the Nile

What would the country be without that mythical and immense river that runs through it? Without a doubt, taking a cruise on the Nile is one of the essential experiences during a trip to Egypt. You don't have to have too much imagination to be able to visualize yourself contemplating wonderful sunsets on the bridge while the call to prayer, coming from the speakers of the nearby mosques, becomes the perfect soundtrack. The Nile, with its 6,600 kilometers in length (one of the longest in the world), invites you to get to know the country from a completely different perspective. Many are the boats that make the typical route from Luxor to Aswan or vice versa. So don't think about it: include it in your list of activities to do in Egypt and enjoy a few days sailing through its waters!

2. Know the Egyptian climate

It is possible to visit Egypt throughout the year as there is little rainfall, with a dry climate during the winter and a desert climate in the summer. Usually, in the coastal area the climate is slightly wetter than perhaps what can be found in Cairo with the maximum temperatures that, in summer, can reach up to 50 degrees. It is good to remember that, between day and night, there is a strong temperature range and it is therefore good to be prepared for any eventuality. For those who love a holiday on the sea alone, it is possible to choose the Red Sea area throughout the year, even in winter, to enjoy a dream vacation between snorkeling and days on the beach with temperatures that in Italy we usually have in late spring. Thanks to these climatic factors,

3. Giza, the flagship

Who doesn't think about what to see in Egypt and automatically draws the pyramids of Giza on his head? They constitute the most iconic image of the country and, of course, they had to be on our list of essential elements.

So, without even moving from Cairo, we started getting to know Cheops, Kefren and Micerinos: the pyramids are the only wonder of the ancient world that still exists today ... Despite having 5,000 years!

Look closely at each of the huge stones on which the pyramids are built. It is estimated that each of them weighs about two tons and they were transported to this place with the strength of twenty thousand workers. Something that we recommend, without a doubt, is to visit the inside: every few months the access to one of the pyramids opens up to the public, something that varies to maintain its conservation. When you are tired of admiring this architectural wonder to be seen in Egypt, it will be time to pay tribute to the Great Sphinx.

These are some of the things not to be missed during your stay in Egypt. Obviously this is a starting point that can expand your itinerary depending on the days available and the type of vacation you intend to do. Create an itinerary that is always marked by some elements such as authenticity, traditions and culture for a journey that turns out to be a unique experience in life, Bon voyage!
