The Forthcoming Star Of Rap Music

  • What first got you into music?

Ever since I was a kid I had a difficult time fitting in with the crowd. My interests were very different from other children of my age. I was always into the performing arts and having fun with the gang. I did not get into music right away. I stumbled upon different things first.  I started taking art classes in my middle school and then I got into [hip-hop] dance with a few of my friends. Later my homie Chigo Ace introduced me to my true calling; rap music. Funny story is, the very first song I made was with Chigo Ace in jail.

  • How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I try my best to give my audience a fresh take on the hip-hop world. There are already many artists producing the same type of music. I want to be unique and refreshing so that the newer generation has something to look up to. My music can be described as party music. I’m into the nightlife and I have so many adventures and experiences that I try to embody into the music.

  • What is your creative process like?

I write my music whenever I feel like. I carry around a writing pad with me called iPhone so if it’s a new spur of the moment idea, I’m typing it up immediately or at least recording it. If i'm in the studio then I have my whole gang to help me bring the idea to life. Ideal would be low lights with the instrumental playing at the max volume, but I don’t mind whipping out my phone at a stoplight.

  • How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

The internet is wild. I think of it as a blessing and a curse. It has helped me reach people that I could never touch. Like the fact that I can sit here in Dallas and still impact someone overseas, wild times. But on that same note, it was made things harder for up and coming artists because of the over saturation. Overall I think the benefits outweighs the negatives; you just got to know how to use it to your benefit.

  • What is your favorite song to perform?

My favorite song to perform is my latest song called “Fleeek” mainly because it’s my biggest song out. I can’t lie, it’s a different vibe seeing someone else rapping your lyrics with you. But wait until this EP drops, I have a feeling I’m going to change my answer.

  • According to our resources we have come to understand that you have also started modelling, can you tell us more about that?

Elana Myers, a good friend of mine. God rest her soul... she was a model herself and she would always tell me to put my looks to use and start modelling. It wasn’t something I thought I could do but she would encourage me. After she passed away it messed me up & put life in perspective. Finally I decided to listen to her and took a leap of faith; I got an audition to join a model agency and it was crazy because I got my first gig before I even got the acceptance email.

  • What’s next for you?

I have a lot of high hopes for my music career. Record labels have called… I don’t know we will see. My primary focus is the music. I want to work on it as hard as I can so that I am able to produce more and more music for all my supporters.

  • What are the biggest difficulties you face as an emerging musician?

Being heard. I personally think this industry is filled with wannabes chasing stardom like idiots. Makes it harder for people like me who are trying to create a legacy while getting lit with the gang.

  • What final message would you like to give out to your fans?

I would like to thank all my supporters who’ve been with me from day one. I am very grateful for all the appreciation that comes my way. I take all the response as a driving force to keep working harder. Oh and stay lit my friends.
