Truly inspired by wildlife documentaries shot in Ranthambore and a desire to plan a visit to this imperial tiger reserve of India became stronger as the time passes. The wildlife terrain, amazing landscape, pleasing climate & exotic fauna species of Ranthambore is what allures the most to its visitors. Every year many tourists visit Ranthambore just to quench their thirst to witness the wildlife, and this was the reason for me to plan my first-time visit to Ranthambore.

Visit during the months of October to December is the best time to witness the eternal beauty of Ranthambore. The temperature during these months remains moderate and pleasant with a good amount of water in the water bodies and the autumn colors of orange, clear blue skies with dense green forest highlights the enriched beauty of Ranthambore forest. The summer season is quite good for tiger sightseeing in Ranthambore Safari but the beauty of the forest is not as same as that of winters.

Stay in Ranthambore –

We have book our stay at Maa Ashapura Farm, here the services and hospitality give a homely feel to us with the main focus on proper hygiene and delicious food. The top class amenities of the farm would be highly suggestible if anyone known is visiting Ranthambore. They offered us both pickup and drop facility and even book our safaris in advance. The Ranthambore National Park is blessed with a great tiger population in its 10 zones. Mainly zone 1 to 6 is the most preferred ones as compared to that of zone 8 to 10 which are the least frequented zones by tourists.

Wildlife safari in Ranthambore

On our wildlife safari trip, it was raining throughout the safari because of which animals were rarely found in the reserve. In the month of December, such a climate is unexpected in Ranthambore but we are praying for the weather conditions to get improve the next day so that our sightseeing becomes easier. Thankfully the next day god listens to us and the next day the skies are clear.  This time our safari was in Zone 3 which is a real estate of Ranthambore as the landscape covers Rajbagh Lake & meadows, Jogi Mahal, Padam Talao Lake, Mali Talab, all these are mainly shown in almost every Tiger documentaries. This was a ruling zone of legendary tigress Machli (T 16) which is now ruled by Arrowhead (T 84) granddaughter of Machli.

This time we have opted morning jeep safari we saw a couple of jeeps had seen Arrowhead resting in the grass. After a long wait of about 2 and a half hours, we have got a sight of a tiger that was really an eye-opening event. This zone is rick in all type of fauna due to it has 3 lakes namely Padam Talab, Rajbagh, and Malik Talab.

Arrowhead in the safari track

Finally, arrowhead decided to get out of Rajbagh meadows in the evening & walk on the safari track. We have taken some best shots of this and the tigress can be seen stalking for wild boar which is on the other side of safari track. However, she didn’t attack the wild boar due to the line of a gypsy. From the start of the safari till the end we have multiple sighting of Arrowhead & enjoy the most in the scenic beauty of zone 3.

Ranthambore is a great retreat for wildlife enthusiasts, nature lovers, and adventure seekers and this is why I enjoyed my entire journey to Ranthambore. The town is highly recommended by me for having a most amazing sight of rich fauna species especially Royal Bengal Tigers. So, plan your next trip to Ranthambore and get the best sight of tigers in Ranthambore Safari.
